[University of Washington Department of Surgery Center for Videoendoscopic Surgery]

TRAINING AT THE CENTER FOR VIDEOENDOSCOPIC SURGERY
For the surgeon in our community and region, the Center for Videoendoscopic Surgery offers an opportunity to acquire and polish advanced videoendoscopic skills close to home and practice. Half-day up to multi-day courses are offered for two to sixteen surgeons at a time. For those with special requirements, we have created highly individualized instruction including personalized laboratory experience.
After this training, physician graduates of our program are invited back to participate in ongoing CME, didactic, and training courses that are offered through the experimental surgical laboratory of the CVES. For those surgeons who have achieved sufficient experience in the laboratory, we invite participation in the clinical cases conducted by the faculty affiliated with the CVES. These procedures are carried out in the operating room of the University of Washington Medical Center (UWAMC).

Surgeons seeking more experience and those in need of a proctor for credentialling purposes are invited to admit patients jointly with CVES faculty to the UWAMC and then perform the advanced videoendoscopic procedures here with the expert assistance of our faculty. It is our intention to build long-term relationships with our colleagues in the community who are performing MIS surgery.
