Allergy Clinic

The Allergy Division conducts clinical research on asthma, allergic rhinitis, and other allergic diseases. Allergy also conducts basic research on mechanisms of airway inflammation in asthma. The Asthma & Allergy Clinic at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) is held twice weekly on Monday mornings, 8:00-12:00 p.m., and on Thursday afternoons, 1:00-5:00 p.m., both located in Medicine Clinic West, third floor. Madison Clinic

The Madison Clinic provides primary long-term care, including comprehensive initial treatment and subsequent management for patients with HIV and all potential complications. The physicians attending in the clinic are recognized nationally for their expertise in the care and treatment of patients with HIV/AIDS. The staff includes physician specialists in Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Dermatology, and Behavioral Medicine. Experienced physician assistants, physical therapists, counselors, and pharmacists also staff the clinic. To schedule your first appointment, please call (206) 731-5100 and ask for the patient care coordinator. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30 p.m. The clinic is located on the second floor of the West Clinic wing of Harborview Medical Center. Take the West Clinic elevators, which are located near the information desk in the Ground West floor lobby.


Travel and Tropical Medicine Clinic

The Travel Medicine Service at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) offers complete medical travel services. Health care experts from the University of Washington School of Medicine and UWMC provide up-to-date pre-travel advice and health care, including advice regarding vaccinations and prophylactic medications. Post-travel diagnosis and treatment for illnesses acquired abroad are also available. The Travel Medicine Service is open for appointments Monday through Saturday. Evening appointments are available. Remington Clinic

The Remington Clinic provides primary clinical care for people with oral and genital herpes infection. Primary care services include confidential diagnosis and treatment, accurate herpes blood testing, and counseling and information for HSV patients and partners. Please call (206) 720-4340 for information or to schedule an appointment with one of our physician assistants or nurse practitioners with extensive experience and training in herpes and STDs.


Virology Research Clinic

The major mission of the Virology Research Clinic is to investigate the epidemiology and natural history of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) and to evaluate new therapies and vaccines for HSV. Currently, our special areas of interest are prevention of HSV transmission with daily antiviral therapy and the interactions between HSV and HIV.
