Steven McGee, MD

Steve McGee is currently Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, where, for the last 30 years, he has worked at the Seattle Puget Sound VA Healthcare System. During this time, he has supervised the medical students who rotate through the VA and frequently attended at morning report and on the General Medicine wards and the Infectious Diseases service. His favorite teaching activity is bedside rounds, which he conducts twice weekly with medical students and chief residents. His main research interest has been the subject of physical diagnosis, its diagnostic accuracy, and how best to teach others how to use it in the care of patients.

He is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and he completed his internship, residency, chief residency, and fellowship in infectious Diseases at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
