CURRENT RESEARCH

Dr. Hooton is the Medical Director of the Harborview Medical Center AIDS Clinic (Madison Clinic), Chair of the University of Washington P&T subcommittee on Infectious Diseases, and Chair of the Harborview Infection Control Committee. Dr. Hooton's research interests and activities include clinical studies of pathogenesis and treatment of urinary tract infections in women (in collaboration with Dr. Walter Stamm), clinical studies of antimicrobial resistance and methods to reduce antimicrobial usage, and adherence to HIV medications.
