CURRENT RESEARCH

Research interests include mother-to-child transmission of HIV-1, breast milk transmission of HIV-1, cervicovaginal shedding of HIV-1, HIV-1 subtypes, CTL responses among HIV-1 exposed uninfected infants, lactation effect on maternal HIV-1 disease progression, and strategies to improve perinatal HIV-1 prevention (via enhanced voluntary counseling and testing or enhanced compliance with regimens). Research location: Nairobi, Kenya.
