F E L L O W    R E C R U I T M E N T :
April 11th will be our final ID fellows recruitment date this year.  This will be for ID fellows
beginning training in July 2008.  After April 11th, we will have interviewed 25 fellow applicants for approximately 8 available slots.  We
will be contacting faculty soon about a meeting date and time to decide on ranking for the applicants.  The rank order list is due on June 6th
and the match date is June 20th.  Thanks to all faculty and current fellows for making themselves available for interviews!

P E R F O R M A N C E    E V A L U A T I O N S :  All Classified and Professional staff should submit completed performance evaluations
to Myrna by May 11th.  Should the state legislature approve merit increases this year, the performance evaluations will be used to determine
merit increases for Professional Staff.  In addition to the performance evaluation, updated job descriptions should be submitted as well.
Supervisors should meet with their staff and discuss job performance based on the individual’s job description.  If the duties and
responsibilities have changed significantly, reclassification of the job should be considered.  Performance evaluation forms can be found at:
        http://www.washington.edu/admin/hr/forms/

E G C 1 s:  New features will be added to the eGC1s starting April 11th.  You will be able to copy an eGC1 (sections will need to be verified).
The Human Subjects section will add Stem Cell questions.  There will not be a word limit on the Abstract so that you will be able to cut and
paste the abstract from the proposal.  And there will be several new questions regarding submitting to Grants.gov in the Application
        Document Information section.
