In 2007, the Life Sciences Discovery Fund (LSDF) invites research proposals from non-profit entities within Washington State for
health-related research. The LSDF Authority has been authorized to invest $350 million of tobacco settlement bonus payments in
research to better the health of Washington’s citizens and to foster economic growth within our communities. In preparation for the
two 2007 grant competitions, LSDF is making a series of public presentations throughout the state to familiarize life sciences researchs
with LSDF and the golas of its granting programs. Dr. John DesRosier, LSDF Director of Programs, will review the 2007 granting
programs and explain the request for proposal process. Sessions are open to all faculty, staff and students. No registration is required.
