Family Consultation

Short-Term-Consultation Project DATA provides short-term consultation to families regarding the following areas of interest: Functional behavior assessment of challenging behaviors which occur at home or in the community Development of behavior intervention plan to be implemented at home or in the community Toilet Training and other self-help skills Independent skills in school and community settings Working with school districts and childcare programs to provide programs with the goal of supporting the services which are already available Assessment of childs strengths and needs in order to develop appropriate learning objectives Instructional strategies for improving learning for children with developmental disabilities including children Teaching communication skills to children Teaching play skills to children and offering suggestions to facilitate play between parents, siblings or peers These services include: initial meeting coaching on strategies evaluation of behavior plan periodic review of progress and program fit Specific Fees may include: 2 hours for writing the initial evaluation Face-to-face meeting time with parents, child, teachers, or other professional service providers Phone or email consultation with parents, teachers, or other professionals over 15 minutes If visuals or other materials are needed there is a one time material fee of $25 Mileage reimbursement for under 40 miles round trip (.505 per mile) For trips over 20 miles one-way, travel time at the stated hourly rate will be billed in lieu of mileage.
