Stock up on the supplies you need to start school. You're invited to a special UW student-only late-night event at Fred Meyer superstore on the Monday of Dawg Daze from 11pm until 1am. Free food, drinks, and a huge raffle with prizes like a 20" Flat Screen TV, a computer desk, a mountain bike, $100 gift card, and much more! Make sure you bring your UW student ID card (or your Dawg Pass) to get in the door, and receive a special savings certificate to buy anything from groceries to dorm essentials. All you have to do is show up at either Memorial Way (north of the flagpole) or out front of Terry-Lander Residence Hall starting as early as 10:00pm, and free bus shuttles will take you back and forth. Wanna be like Jet Li? Come learn martial arts from the Husky Wushu Team. In this workshop you'll learn about the culture of Wushu, the Chinese martial art Jet Li mastered and was a champion of before going off to star in movies. You'll also get a chance to meet new people and get a small workout learning proper warm up techniques, ways to improve your flexibility, and basic Wushu moves. Also, don't miss the chance to see the Husky Wushu Team in action.
