Here is your one-stop shopping for the easy and affordable decorating of your new residence hall room or apartment. Hundreds of images, from fine art prints and photographs to popular art, most within $10 to $25. The sale runs from Sunday, September 21 through Friday, October 3, 9am to 5pm (except for Saturday 9/27 and Sunday 9/28). Twenty percent of the proceeds goes towards the purchase of UW student art for the HUB's permanent collection.

The bike shop also sells safety items such as helmets, lights, and U-locks, all at the lowest prices. Students receive discounts.

Wanna be like Jet Li? Come learn martial arts from the Husky Wushu Team. In this workshop you'll learn about the culture of Wushu, the Chinese martial art Jet Li mastered and was a champion of before going off to star in movies. You'll also get a chance to meet new people and get a small workout learning proper warm up techniques, ways to improve your flexibility, and basic Wushu moves. Also, don't miss the chance to see the Husky Wushu Team in action.

AVEventure

The University of Washington and the Greater University Chamber of Commerce present AVEventure, a new welcome event for incoming and returning UW students. From NE 41st St. to NE 52nd St. along University Way NE, aka "The Ave," local businesses and vendors will be hosting sidewalk sales, and offering discounts and free food. There will be live music in each block featuring local music groups and tables with information on community involvement organizations. Great raffle prizes have been donated by local businesses. Come learn how you can get involved in our community, check out the local music scene, explore the many restaurants and shops along "The Ave!"

Queer Rollerskating at the IMA

All equipment is provided. Skate rentals are free w/Husky Card, faculty/staff ID, or spouse/same sex domestic partner IMA membership card. There is a $1.00 skate rental fee for guests (16 yrs of age or older). Faculty/staff without an IMA membership pay the IMA single use fee of $5.00.

If you are interested in doing improv theater, this is a great chance to meet the improvisors and sign up to audition.
