Printing outage in UW Tacoma

All maintenance is now complete. Printing should be back to normal. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We have made progress on the issues with the server. Our estimate for the current work to be completed is 3:30pm.

We will be taking down printing in UW Tacoma for unplanned maintenance starting at 11am today, April 18th.

We currently have no ETA for a resolution, but hope to be finished before the end of the day. We will update this post as we know more.

DawgPrints service restored

The DawgPrints service is working properly now. We will continue monitoring to ensure it remains stable. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

DawgPrints error

There is currently an issue with DawgPrints printing causing an error, specifically that the LPD service refused a “receive print job command”. This issue is being investigated and will hopefully be resolved shortly. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Mainteance today

12:55pm – Maintenance has been completed. All printing should be function as normal now. If you continue to have issues, try restarting the printer and release station. If that does not resolve the issue please email us at uwcshelp@uw.edu.

Our current estimate is that maintenance should be completed by 2PM today.

Security Issue with Mac Popup

2 pm: All Mac Packages have been updated and replaced. Please download and install one of the new packages in order to update the Pharos Popup. You should only need to run a single new installer to update the Popup Client. The updated version is 9.0.8.

We have been notified of a security issue with the existing Mac Popup Packages for DawgPrints.

As a precaution we have removed all Mac Popup Packages.

New packages will be available this afternoon. Once the new packages are available we recommend updating to the newest version.

Windows Packages Issue

4:45 PM – All issues with downloading and installing Windows printer packages should now be resolved. If you still experience any issues please email uwcshelp@uw.edu.
