I am interested in the mechanisms the master pacemaker, located in the Suprachiasmatic Nucleus (SCN) of the hypothalamus, uses to create a robust circadian oscillator. Specifically, I am looking into how neurons in the SCN communicate with each other to remain synchronized both to one another and to the environment.
