I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1984 and a Master of Science degree in Community Health Education in 1987 from West Virginia University, which is located in my hometown of Morgantown. In August of 1997, I joined the United States Public Health Service and in 2004 moved to Bethel, Alaska. In January 2008, I started working full-time with the Dental Health Aide Therapy (DHAT) Educational Program in Bethel. I transferred to Anchorage in July 2012. I currently provide didactic and clinical instruction for the DHAT students as well as work on various statewide activities related to the Dental Health Aide Program. My primary interest outside of work is traveling within the United States and throughout the world.
