Tom Beckman, DDS

Dr. Beckman is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental School and the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. He has been the dental director of two inner city clinics and the graduate program director of two pediatric dental training programs.  Dr. Beckman has been involved with the DHAT program since its inception in 2007, focusing on clinical treatment of the youngest dental patients.  His spouse, Mary Margaret, is a pediatrician in Minnesota and has been supportive of his passion to support the dental therapy program in Alaska. Of all his professional activities, Dr. Beckman is proud of his association with the DHAT program and is not reluctant to let his professional colleagues know about it.  The Beckman couple has four grown sons.
