Partners and Affiliations
The Department of Global Health is based in a city that is rapidly emerging as an epicenter for global health. Seattle is home not only to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the largest global health philanthropic organization in the world, but also to a host of partners with extensive expertise and experience in global health, including PATH, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, the Infectious Diseases Research Institute, the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association, and Washington State University’s new global animal health program that addresses the important links between animal and human health.
Many of these partners are members of the growing Washington Global Health Alliance and work closely with the Department of Global Health in education, research, and service programs.
