Center for AIDS Research

Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), which is part of a national consortium of NIH-funded AIDS research centers, has established close collaborative ties with programs in Kenya, Peru, Uganda, Mozambique, and China. CFAR provides core services to HIV/AIDS researchers locally and internationally, offers New Investigator Awards and other support to junior investigators, and creates specialized programs to encourage research in targeted areas of inquiry. CFAR is led by King Holmes, MD, PhD, professor and chair, Department of Global Health, and holder of the William H. Foege Endowed Chair in Global Health.
