The American International Health Alliance is a nonprofit organization working to advance global health by helping communities and nations with limited resources build sustainable institutional and human resource capacity. Through twinning partnerships and other programs, we provide technical assistance using the knowledge and skills of experienced physicians, nurses, administrators, educators, allied health professionals, and civic leaders. Our programs address critical issues such as HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, maternal and child health, primary care, emergency and disaster preparedness, and health professions education and development.

CARE is one of the largest NGOs involved in international development. Extensive projects worldwide.

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) was launched in 2005 by President Bill Clinton as a non-partisan catalyst for action, bringing together a community of global leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Several member commitments have been made in Global Health.

Doctors Without Borders (also known as Médecins Sans Frontières or MSF) delivers emergency aid to victims of armed conflict, epidemics, and natural and man-made disasters, and to others who lack health care due to social or geographical isolation.

The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) was formed to harness the strengths and experience of multiple partners in immunization. It is an historic alliance between the private and public sector committed to the mission of saving children's lives and protecting people's health through the widespread use of vaccines.

Global Campaign for Microbicides is a broad-based international coalition of organizations working to accelerate access to new HIV Prevention options.

Global Health Council is the largest membership alliance dedicated to improving the quality of and access to health care worldwide. Its mission is to promote better health around the world by assisting all who work for improvement and equity in global health to secure the information and resources they need to work effectively.

The Global Health Watch is a broad collaboration of public health experts, non-governmental organisations, civil society activists, community groups, health workers and academics. It was initiated by the People's Health Movement, Global Equity Gauge Alliance and Medact

Human Rights Watch is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world. We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane conduct in wartime, and to bring offenders to justice. We investigate and expose human rights violations and hold abusers accountable. We challenge governments and those who hold power to end abusive practices and respect international human rights law. We enlist the public and the international community to support the cause of human rights for all. Human Rights Watch is an independent, nongovernmental organization, supported by contributions from private individuals and foundations worldwide.

InterAction is the largest alliance of U.S.-based international development and humanitarian nongovernmental organizations. With more than 160 members operating in every developing country, we work to overcome poverty, exclusion and suffering by advancing social justice and basic dignity for all.

International AIDS Economics Network (IAEN) is an International AIDS Economic Network (IAEN) providing data, tools, and analysis on the economics of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment in developing countries, for compassionate, cost-effective responses to the global epidemic.

The Micronutrient Initiative (MI) is a not-for-profit organization specializing in addressing micronutrient malnutrition. MI is governed by an international Board of Directors. MI supports and promotes food fortification and supplementation programs in Asia, Africa and Latin America and provides technical and operational support in those countries where micronutrient malnutrition is most prevalent. MI carries out its work in partnership with other international agencies, governments and industry. MI is based in Ottawa, Canada and maintains regional offices in New Delhi, India and Johannesburg, South Africa.

NationMaster is a massive central data source and a handy way to graphically compare nations. NationMaster is a vast compilation of data from such sources as the CIA World Factbook, United Nations, World Health Organization, World Bank, World Resources Institute, UNESCO, UNICEF and OECD. You can generate maps and graphs on all kinds of statistics with ease.

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, provides women's health care and promotes the rights of women around the world. It is the largest international source of such assistance. AMERICANS FOR UNFPA is dedicated to building American support for the work of UNFPA and to restoring the United States’ moral and financial contribution to the organization. 

UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) is part of the United Nations and is the largest global organisation working especially for children. UNICEF works to make sure that children all over the world have access to education and health care and are protected from exploitation, neglect and abuse. UNICEF also works during emergencies including war and natural disasters like the tsunami, earthquakes, floods and famines.

United Nations was established on 24 October 1945 by 51 countries committed to preserving peace through international cooperation and collective security. Today, nearly every nation in the world belongs to the UN: membership totals 191 countries. The United Nations has six main organs. Five of them — the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council and the Secretariat — are based at UN Headquarters in New York. The sixth, the International Court of Justice, is located at The Hague in the Netherlands.

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, UNAIDS is the main advocate for global action on the epidemic. It leads, strengthens and supports an expanded response aimed at preventing transmission of HIV, providing care and support, reducing the vulnerability of individuals and communities to HIV/AIDS, and alleviating the impact of the epidemic.

World Health Organization is the United Nations specialized agency for health. It was established on 7 April 1948. WHO's objective, as set out in its Constitution, is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. Health is defined in WHO's Constitution as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
