ADMISSIONS INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS IN PATHOBIOLOGY
The Interdisciplinary Pathobiology Program at the University of Washington offers a PhD in biomedical research. This program is offered through the UW Department of Global Health. You can review detailed program information in the 2009-2010 Student Handbook (PDF). This handbook and our website pages offer information on areas of research, program learning objectives, and faculty contacts. Note at the present, we are not admitting new students to the Master's program.
This program provides a stipend and covers tuition and health insurance for all students, including international students. Student support is provided during the entire program of study, as long as satisfactory academic progress is maintained.
Currently there are 35 students in the Pathobiology Program, and six new students were admitted for Autumn Quarter 2009.
Faculty Research: for information on faculty areas of research consult the Research Areas page. In addition, there are faculty reseach descriptions included in the Student Handbook beginning on page 26.

This year, applicants may use the SOPHAS system to submit application documents and materials to our program. However, all applicants are still required to also visit the UW Graduate School website above, in order to pay the required application fee and to make an application at that site as well.
