This annual lectureship was established in memory of Dr. Robert Pommerening, a respected member of the Seattle Dermatology community and is held in Seattle every Fall.

The memorial fund was begun to sponsor a lecture in the field of dermatology for the practicing dermatologists in the Puget Sound area, medical students, residents, staff, and other interested persons in related fields at the University.  Annual lectures have been given since 1983 by international figures in Dermatology.

George F. Oldand Lecture - May 14, 2010

The Odland Lectureship was developed in 1989 to serve as a forum to invite scientists who have made significant contributions to the understanding of skin disease and skin biology.  The Odland Lecture day is part of the joint Washington State and Seattle Dermatologic Society meeting, and takes place in Seattle each spring.  We challenge the Odland Lecturers to make a scientific presentation understandable and relevant to an audience composed primarily of practicing dermatologists.
