Medical Student Education
We are proud to offer several high quality training experiences for Medical Students
within the Division of Dermatology.
MEDECK 604 Clinical Dermatology Course:
Participation in dermatology clinics and inpatient consultations at the University of Washington Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Children's and/or the Seattle VA Medical Center. Journal Club and clinical conferences are held each week in addition to a continuing series of teaching seminars and weekly dermatopathology conferences.
MEDECK 616 Advanced Clinical Dermatology Course:
Prerequisite: Must have completed four weeks of Clinical Dermatology prior to start of this advanced rotation. In this advanced rotation, each student will focus on one or two of four areas, which will be determined prior to starting the rotation in consultation with Dr. Vary: Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatopathology, Pediatric Dermatology, or Advanced Medical Dermatology.
We offer month-long Clerkships at all of our practice sites.
The C-E group (Clinician - Educator Group) maintains a list of ideas for projects that
med students may want to view here.
We offer limited preceptorships with faculty and clinical faculty around the Seattle area for first and second year Med Students. If interested, please contact the Med Student Program preceptorship coordinator.
