PROFESSIONAL INTEREST

Research Interests:

Defensins are a family of antimicrobial peptides and are natural antibiotics in the skin. Defensins also signal the immune system as part of the innate immune defense program in the skin. We study the role of defensins in the innate immune response of the skin and the role of antimicrobial peptides in skin diseases.
