Opportunities for Dermatology Investigators in Seattle, WA

We are pleased to announce opportunities for investigators in dermatology to join an exciting, innovative and collaborative culture in the beautiful and dynamic Pacific Northwest. The University of Washington is seeking applicants for up to four full-time (100%) faculty positions. These positions offer a variety of research, clinical, and teaching responsibilities, with a primary focus on conducting research in skin biology. Applicants must be excellent investigators, clinicians (for MD candidates), teachers, and enthusiastic about engaging in a broad array of dermatology program-related activities. 

University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Our program is intent on developing future academic leaders in Dermatology while providing outstanding patient care and advancing skin biology and therapeutic approaches. We offer exceptionally broad expertise across scientific disciplines in a highly collaborative culture with world-class colleagues at UW, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and other excellent research institutions. 

These positions will be either on the regular faculty track at the Assistant (0113), Associate (0112) or Full Professor (0111) levels, on the physician-scientist pathway (without tenure due to funding, or with tenure, tenure/track, depending on qualifications) or on the research track, at the Research Assistant Professor (0143), Research Associate Professor (0142) or Research Professor (0141) levels in the Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology. These are 12-month, multi-year appointments. Successful applicants must have an MD (or foreign equivalent) and, if clinically active, be board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology (or foreign equivalent). PhD. candidates will also be considered. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must have successfully completed all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. An outstanding track record and/or potential for competitive research funding is required.

Medical Dermatologist Positions at the University of Washington Medical Center

The University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology is recruiting for two full-time (100% FTE) clinical faculty at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level (non tenured) in the clinician/clinician pathway.  These positions will be based at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) at the Roosevelt Dermatology Clinic and/or at the UWMC Eastside Specialties Clinic in Bellevue.  These positions have a 12-month service period, and are reappointed on an annual basis.  University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.  Requirements include an MD degree or foreign equivalent and certification by the American Board of Dermatology or foreign equivalent.  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Dermatologic Surgeon Position at VAPSHCS

The University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology, and Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS) are seeking a full-time, 12-month indefinite faculty appointment as an academic Clinician/Teacher. The selected candidate will be proposed for appointment to the faculty at the Acting Assistant Professor, or Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or full Professor level, without tenure due to funding. The position duties include teaching and patient care, performing dermatologic surgery procedures and Mohs surgery at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. The applicant must be excellent clinically and committed to clinical/surgical teaching of medical students, dermatology and medicine residents. MD degree (or foreign equivalent), Board certification in Dermatology and completion of ACGME Procedural Dermatology Fellowship (or foreign equivalent) are required. Any U.S. Citizen may apply.
