Senior Fellow Trainee
The Division of Dermatology at the University of Washington potentially has one full-time postdoctoral research fellow position available in skin biology. The fellowship positions are for one year and may be extended for one additional year depending on the performance of the candidate. Please contact Theresa Steig for additional information before submitting an application.
Duties: To conduct research in skin biology (basic, clinical, health services, epidemiology or other research areas relevant to skin biology)
Applicants must have a doctorate degree in the field of biological sciences. Funding will be provided from an NIH T32 Training Grant so applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Please submit the following information by February 15, 2012, for a start date in July 2012:
- Cover letter: Describe research interests and career goals. Identify proposed mentor. Indicate prior funding support from NIH (include award # i.e., T32 AR07019 and dates appointed).
- Curriculum vitae
- Research proposal: 1-2 page proposal. Include statement on the relevance of your project to skin biology

Medical Dermatologist Position
Position #AA2980
The University of Washington and VA Puget Sound Health Care System are recruiting for one full-time (100% FTE) faculty position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor level (without tenure due to funding source) on the clinician teacher pathway in Dermatology. This position will be based at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS). UW faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Requirements include an MD degree (or equivalent) and certification by the American Board of Dermatology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The position duties include patient care and teaching at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System and affiliated sites. The applicant must be excellent clinically and committed to clinical teaching of medical students, dermatology and medicine residents.
