Mo-Re-Shi-Bo

Mo-Re-Shi-Bo (Modular Reusable Shipping Box) is an alternative solution to replace our wasteful practice of using disposable materials to ship packages.

The cardboard box has been a mainstay in package shipping since its inception more than 150 years ago. Cardboard serves its purpose well, but the way it is used is wasteful. It always requires packing tape to assemble and often needs additional packing materials such as styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap to keep packages safe from harm.

Mo-Re-Shi-Bo replaces the need for these disposable materials while meeting the needs of its users. Molded plastic construction provides a lightweight, rigid, resilient, and durable structure that can be used over and over again. Intersecting edges provide support and additional impact protection from drops and mishandling. Modular design allows for flat storage, multiple size options, and replacement of damaged parts.

Lengthwise channels increase the strength and rigidity of the plastic parts. Optional silicone bands offer the ability to secure the package contents.

Six parts come together to make a box. Modularity allows for different size combinations.

Lightweight TYVEK exterior skin holds the pieces tightly together while protecting the package from the elements. The snug fitting skin allows the box to be held together only by tension. Assembly is easy and there is never a need for glue, tape, or fasteners.

Muscle Oximeter

The recent development of noninvasive muscle oxygen monitoring technology is helping ICU, ER, and operation rooms to be more effective and efficient. But as a new technology, it needs to take on a form that can not only fit into the compact and hectic hospital environments, but also rugged enough to endure the daily punishment and rough handling. This product consists of a muscle oximeter probe that is applied to the hand and console with controls and information.
