Things, Bridges & Towers: Drawing Patterns and Structure from Text

“Things, bridges+towers” explores patterns and rhythms in language. By creating a visual representation of languages structures in novels, the application explores whether characteristics such as smoothness, complexity, and pacing map to visual equivalents. The application draw patterns from parts of speech and syntax from five novels and allows the user to view the entire text of the novel or to zoom into a specific passage.
