Peach

Peach is a mobile application that empowers women with the education of sex, relationships, consent and their changing bodies. The app allows women to discreetly track their periods, sexual history and learn about various topics. Sex Education is majorly flawed in the U.S. where only 13 states mandate sex education to be medically accurate. Peach is here to help women have unbiased, accurate information at all times. Peach is judgement free and knows you need the answers before you can even have the questions. Peach also curates content for the user as she continually uses it and allows the user to ask anonymous questions to health experts. As users sign up they will be able to order a complimentary kit. Apollo

Apollo is a Conversational User Interface (CUI) that provides a personalized learning experience by tailoring education to the students’ learning styles, preferences, and life experiences.  Students are able to utilize this cross-platform CUI on existing devices such as computers or mobile devices to make it convenient to access. This alleviates the current problem with the one format learning. Majority of high school students feel that if they don’t understand the model being taught by the teacher, they will be left behind. Apollo bridges that gap by supplementing the students’ education with extra assistance if needed, and provides teachers with information on whether or not students understand the topic.

The Plan

Death is a looming presence and a taboo topic in our society. This has led to a stagnation in the ways we view and deal with death planning and the dead themselves. A side-effect of this lack of innovation are the current environmentally unsound and unsustainable burial methods. Aside from the environmental impacts, this fear of talking about death results in poor planing. This lack of vigilance ultimately places a heavy burden onto grieving kin.

The Plan alleviates this burden. It promotes sustainable burial methods and helps a person develop their personal after-death plan. When the time comes, The Plan’s service handles the unpleasant details and leaves the loved ones to start their recovery without the added stress.

Unfold

Unfold is an application that aims to help everyone, regardless of their needs, be able to find events. Unfold connects users to events happening in their neighborhood using a personalized recommendation system and also clearly communicates accessibility accommodations at events to create a sense of equality.
