We prefer the 15-inch Apple MacBook Pro with Intel Core 2 Duo. An alternate Apple or PC model is acceptable, but the laptop must have wireless capability and be capable of running the latest Adobe Creative Suite (CS3) software.

For students interested in Industrial Design, the laptop should be capable of running Rhino (a 3-d modelling program). The recommended MacBook with Intel Core 2 Duo is capable of running Windows software and the Windows version of Rhino.

The required Adobe CS3 software may be purchased at academic discount from the UW bookstore for $299.95 (regular price $1,199)
