Working Groups

Working groups are being developed around critical program/degree areas, and will be responsible for reporting to the larger committee.

CAC members are highly encouraged to join a working group. The chair of each working group may also invite the participation of persons not on the larger committee.

Current working groups and contacts are as follows:

  • MPH - Amy Hagopian (hagopian@u.)
  • Global Health Pathway Working Group (SOM curriculum) - David Roesel (droesel@u.) or Jennifer Earle (jearle@u.)
  • Residency - Suzinne Pak-Gorstein (spakgor@u.)
  • Undergraduate - Jonathan Mayer (jmayer@u.) or Julie Beschta (jbeschta@u.)

Principles of Operation

The Department of Global Health's Curriculum Advisory Committee (CAC) met on June 21, 2007, with about 35 people in attendance. Using a round-robin brainstorming process, we generated a list of principles of operation, with the understanding that these would include a mix of content issues, process issues, and values. We then used a voting process to put them in a priority order, which is the order in which the principles are presented each of the below documents. The abbreviated document was presented at the September CAC meeting.

One of the major objectives for developing these principles is to guide the efforts of the working groups. This is a work in progress - revisions to this list are welcome!

Thank you again for your input to this process.
