Degree Completion

The University of Washington has a dental hygiene degree-completion program. However, it is currently not enrolling students.

When re-established, this program will offer dental hygiene education to persons that have completed an entry-level dental hygiene program successfully and that hold a license to practice dental hygiene. Students enrolled in this program must be admitted to the University of Washington as well as to the Dental Hygiene Degree-Completion Program. Students graduating from this program receive a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in dental hygiene.

Currently, the School of Dentistry has not re-established a date for admission of students into this program. You will not find information about registration, curriculum, or other information about this program at this web site.

The American Dental Hygienists’ Association offers at its website two lists of degree-completion programs in the USA:

You ought to contact all possible programs and check out their prerequisites and requirements. It is advisable to apply for admission at several programs.

A complete list of dental hygiene programs in the USA is found at the American Dental Hygienists’ Association web site (http://www.adha.org/) and its link to ‘Education and Careers.’ (Or use more specific links on our links page.)
