Complications of Diabetes and Aging

Cutting-edge research into the non-atherosclerotic complications of diabetes and aging is being conducted by DERC Affiliates from many departments, spanning diverse scientific disciplines. Where significant research overlaps exist, the work of some of these Affiliates is also listed under other Research Bases. For example, Affiliates whose projects include the DCCT/EDIC, DPP, Look AHEAD, Japanese-American, and FIND studies, all of which examine diabetic complications, are listed both here and in the Clinical Trials section of the Research Base.
