Purpose

The primary goals of the University of Washington DERC Cellular and Molecular Imaging Core are to:

  • Provide state-of-the-art facilities and technical assistance for morphological and histochemical analyses to DERC investigators, obviating duplication of these instruments and resources in their own laboratories;
  • Train DERC investigators, postdoctoral fellows, and research personnel in the design and interpretation of morphological-based protocols for their diabetes-related research.
  • Assist DERC investigators with developing and implementing new histochemical and imaging techniques for their diabetes research.
