Free downloadable statistical software for PCs

Stats4U is a good looking Windows based full-featured statistics program that is free of charge and downloadable from the WWW. It is accompanied by a 524 page manual/statistics textbook in pdf format.

Epi Info is a free program designed by the Centers for Disease Control that facilitates questionnaire design, data input and management, and statistical analyses. Methods available include basic descriptive analyses, epidemiologic tables, logistic regression, and survival analysis.

ViSta (The visual statistics system) performs most of the statistical procedures you will need and has good graphics capabilities.

SSP performs basic statistical tests including multiple regression. It can read external data files. It is easy to install and operate.

Regress+ is a high powered mathematical modeling program for the Mac only.

Mac users WARNING! - I could not install some of these programs on an Intel based Mac. You may succeed in doing so on an older Mac.
