Mass Spectrometry Core
Description
The Protein Mass Spectrometry Core (MSC) of the DERC provides the powerful tools of modern mass spectrometry to DERC investigators to permit structural identification and quantification of biomolecules involved in diabetes and its complications.
The Mass Spectrometry Core (MSC) completed its relocation in summer 2008. Two facilities now exist to serve the mass spectrometry needs of DERC Affiliates. The first is the newly established Mass Spectrometry Core at the DVA Puget Sound Health Care System (VA PSHCS). The second is the Department of Medicine Mass Spectrometry Core located in the recently opened University of Washington South Lake Union Research Facility. Both facilities are readily accessible to Investigators at the University of Washington, VA PSHCS, and Harborview Medical Center.
