Research Base
The University of Washington has a long-standing tradition of advancing basic and clinical discovery in diabetes, obesity and related disorders. The research interests of DRC affiliates encompass a wide range of fields, covering both the pathogenesis and complications of diabetes and its related disorders. The DRC research base includes the following six thematic areas of emphasis in which DRC investigators are conducting their research:
