USPSTF recommends referring obese adults to weight-loss programs

A US Preventive Services Task Force draft recommendation calls for primary care
clinicians to refer adults with a BMI of 30 or higher to a multicomponent
behavioral program for weight management. The task force said evidence shows
these interventions can lead to clinically significant weight loss and reduced
incidence of type 2 diabetes among obese adults with elevated glucose levels.
