Disability Studies and UW Libraries
Alvin Fritz (Suzzallo Reference Librarian, 1st floor Suzzallo) has assumed primary responsibility for the development of Disability Studies Resources in the libraries and for response to reference/information needs in Disability Studies.
Alvin is available:
1) for class presentations on the use, services and resources (electronic, print, video, etc.) of the libraries;
2) for individual or small group consultations. You're invited to contact Alvin for such presentations and consultations, as well as to make acquisitions recommendations.
He may be contacted at: alvin@u.washington.edu
Although Alvin will have primary responsibility in the Disability Studies subject area and be your point person, his reference colleagues are also delighted to serve you. Consequently, you should feel welcome to use the public reference services in all the libraries.
The library has always collected some resources in support of Disability Studies, but with the advent of the new program, additional funding has been provided to support more intense collecting in Disability Studies.
Recommendations for acquisitions of books and videos are most welcome!
