Greg Lynn has taught throughout the United States and Europe and is presently the "Professor of Spatial Conception and Exploration" at the ETH in Zurich, the "Davenport Visiting Professor" at Yale University, and a "Studio Professor" at the University of California Los Angeles. His office Greg Lynn FORM is currently working in collaborative partnerships with a variety of architects and designers on a range of projects including: a renovation and adaptive re-use of a 470 unit housing block in the Bijlmermeer outside of the city of Amsterdam; an addition of a 300 seat auditorium to the Stirn Kunsthalle in the center of Frankfurt; a new building for Lords clothing store on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood; an interior design for the Uniserve Corporate Headquarters in downtown Los Angeles; an interior design for the new three story offices of Imaginary Forces in New York City; a coffee and tea set for Allessi; and a collection of editions of large scale architectural objects in partnership with Max Protetch Gallery in New York that will be launched at an exhibition in the Fall of 2002. His office recently completed: a proposal for the new Eyebeam Museum of Art and Technology in New York City; a book container design for Visionaire Magazine; a line of international showrooms for PGLIFE.COM; the Cincinnati Country Day School in Cincinnati, Ohio; the Vision Plan for Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ; and the recently completed Korean Presbyterian Church of New York in New York City. His work has been exhibited internationally in both architecture and art museums and galleries. The most provocative are his collaborations with the painter Fabian Marcaccio for "The Tingler" at the Secession Museum in Vienna and "The Predator" at the Wexner Center in Columbus, Ohio. Along with Hani Rashid and students from Columbia University, he and his UCLA students represented the United States in the American Pavilion at the 7th International Exhibition of Architecture at the Venice Biennale, where his own work was also featured in the Italian and Austrian pavilions. He is the author of several books including: "Animate FORM" (1999), "Folds, Bodies and Blobs: Collected Essays" (1998) and "Embryological House" (forthcoming fall of 2001). He was born on the 7th of September 1964. He graduated cum laude from Miami University of Ohio in 1986 with two degrees, one in Philosophy (B.Phil.) the other in Environmental Design (B.E.D.). He graduated from Princeton University with a Master's of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree in 1988.
