Hello, my name is Nick and I am seventeen years old and I have Cerebral Palsy. I live in Richfield, MN. I am going to be in eleventh grade I really like computers. I decided to be a part of advanced computer team here at Camp Courage. I was at College Preview Camp last year and I liked it very much. I learned a lot about computers there. I learned how to use the Internet, e-mail etc. I also found out how to apply for college and what to expect there. Last year, we got the Internet at my house. I like to e-mail my friends all over the world. I like all the things on the Net but my favourite thing to do is download freeware and shareware games.
My name is Jeff Ocone, and I currently live in Woodbury, Minn. I'll be a senior at Woodbury High School next fall. I'm 18 years old and plan to go to Southwest State University in Marshall, Minn. In the fall of '98. If I (hopefully) get accepted I plan to study commercial arts and advertising or journalism. These areas of study are ideal for me since I am a quadriplegic and have somewhat limited mobility. For fun I like to "surf the net" as they say in the cyber world, watch and go to auto races, go to movies, and build models. I follow the music scene religiously, especially European groups like Depeche Mode, The Cure, and New Order. I'm just starting to get into the eletronic bands like The Chemical Brothers or Future Sound of London This is my third year attending Camp Courage and its great. The counselors are cool because they treat you as an equal and not like an infant. I'm definitely glad I decided to come.

Hi, my name is Gina. I live in Elk River, MN, I'm legally blind
and only have one eye that works. I have been like this for a very
long time and I think that having a disability is or can be a good
thing. I like to help people understand my disability. for example, I
told my story to a lot of people and the way I see it, I'm very lucky
to have this disability because I get the chance to share and educate
everyone.
This is my second year at Camp Courage. I have been attending this
camp for five years and have gone to different kinds of this camp. In
my spare time I like to sing, write, talk on the phone and play
basketball. I'm fourteen and thanks to this camp I have already
really thought about my career and where I would like to go to
collage. I would like to go to collage at the University of MN and
would like to have a law career. I have enjoyed this camp and I'm
glad that they can do this kind of thing for high school aged kids.

Hi, my name is Aaron. I'm a camper here at Camp Courage. I'm a 15 year-old boy with Cerebral Palsy. I come to computer camp to better use communication tools than I can at home. I find this experience more beneficial here at camp because it allows for almost instant communication between family members and friends. To put it simply, I guess I'm trying to say its better than "snail mail", in my spare time I enjoy watching TV, reading, and talking on the phone. My future plans include finishing high school, and looking toward a future with computers at South West State University in Marshall, Minn.
My name is Brandon R. I am 17 years old. I was born in Boise, Idaho, and now live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I plan to go to college and major in computer programming. I think this is a good field for me because I am very involved in computers. My hobbies include chatting in chat rooms, writing e-mail, collecting baseball cards, riding horses, playing basketball, and hacking. I enjoy getting e-mail so you can e-mail me. I have Cerebral Palsy, so I enjoy hearing from people that are understanding and have common interests.

farm near Tyler Minnesota. I have a disease called Arthrogryposis
that I have had since birth. I like reading books and playing on
theÝcomputer. I also love drawing and I am always in chat
rooms, so maybe you will find me in one some day! I plan on going to
college after I finish high school, and then, I plan to go to some
sort of graphic design school or fashion design school. Who knows
maybe I will be the next Liz Claiborne!

have Cerebral Palsy and I use an electric wheelchair to get around. I
go to Connor Jasper Middle School in Bove, MN. My hobbies are
watching sorts, playing Nintendo, fishing, and collecting baseball
cards. I have a voice recognition system at home on my own PC. I
would never buy a Mac as long as I live. I am having a blast at
computer camp and I hope to come back here next year. I've met a lot
of new friends here and I'm hoping to e-mail them after camp, so that

16 years old. The most exciting thing that I like to do is to sleep.
I also like to listen music. I walk around using a stick. I use this
stick in order to know where I am going. I am a very boring
person.
I enjoy working with computers and use a joystick to type. I really
enjoy crafts and ceramics and my favorite color is purple. Swimming
is another favorite activity. I live in Wisconsin with my sister and

at Park High in Cottage Grove. I love country music and luv to play
soccer. I am in love with Bryan White, country singer. I like to surf
the net. I have been to Camp Couage 3 years.
My name is Matt P. I am on a hockey team and play goalie. My favorite
color is neon anything especially pink. I have a CCI dog (Canine
Companion for Independence). His name is Hooper - he picks up things
and acts as my arms. I have had Hooper since last August - almost a
year.
I like to fish for anything that swims. I have not had a chance to
go fishing at camp this year because I am at computer camp. But I
have been coming to Camp Courage for 6 years. I moved to Rochester
from Hasting MN three years ago. Some hobbies that I have are writing
- I hope to become a writer and publish a book by the time I am
19.
