Sheryl Burgstahler

Hi. I'm Sheryl Burgstahler. I work at the University of Washington in Seattle and direct the DO-IT Center. DO-IT undertakes many different efforts to promote the success of people with disabilities in college and careers, using technology as an empowering tool. I have a husband, Dave, who is a Professor of Accounting at the University and a son, Travis, who is in middle school, but attends summer programs for kids at the University. Our home is very close to the University so, even though Seattle is a big place, our lifestyle is like living in a small college town. For ten years, my family and I have traveled to Camp Courage to join our program partners in supporting the "Internet, College, and Career Preview Program".
