Camp Courage Journal

Today during technology camp we talked about what's on the inside of a computer. We learned that computers operate by adding ones and zeros . We also learned that the onley difference between a Mac and a PC is their operating system. Kris, brought parts of a computer and passed them around. While they were being passed around, he talked about different parts of a computer, including the case and the mother board, the cpu (the brain of the computer) the memory (which is called ram-random access memory) He also talked about the power supply, and he told us that it's not a good idea to try to play around with parts inside your monitor, because you can get electrocuted easily. Other things we talked about include, the way the internet works and the different sizes of memory. We had lunch which was very good. After we came back we had college preview camp, and there was a panel of people who came to talk about their experiences with college. Then the campers did some web searching reguarding majors.
