in Behavioral Dental Research
This program has become a part of a consolidated program:
Training Program in Public Health and Behavioral Research in Dentistry
http://depts.washington.edu/dphs/training/The University of Washington is soliciting applications for postdoctoral fellowships in Behavioral Dental Research as part of an NIDCR-funded training program in Behavioral Dental Research. Two types of applicants are of interest:
- Those with a D.D.S. or equivalent degree but without prior formal training in behavioral dental research who would like to pursue graduate training in behavioral sciences and work on research projects in the School of Dentistry.
- Those with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree (with or without a D.D.S. or similar background in dentistry) who would like to pursue a behavioral research agenda applied to oral health.
Institutional resources include a strong graduate program in Psychology, a research-oriented home department in Dentistry, and potential collaboration with behavioral dental researchers in the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
Fellowships pay a stipend which is dependent on the amount of postdoctoral experience, and partial tuition costs, if appropriate. Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens and permanent residents, and a payback agreement requires subsequent work in research. Minority and woman applicants are particularly of interest.
