University of Washington: Postdoctoral Training in Oral/Craniofacial Epidemiology

The University of Washington is soliciting applications for postdoctoral fellowships in oral/craniofacial epidemiology as part of an NIDCR-funded training program in Oral Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Two types of applicants are of interest:

Those with a Ph.D. or equivalent in epidemiology (with or without a previous background in oral health) who would like to pursue a postdoctoral research agenda in oral/craniofacial health issues.
Those with a D.D.S. or equivalent degree but without prior formal training in epidemiology who would like to pursue graduate training in epidemiology in the School of Public Health and work on research projects in the School of Dentistry.

Institutional resources include a strong graduate program in the Department of Epidemiology, a research oriented home Department of Dental Public Health Sciences, and potential collaboration with dental and biostatistical researchers in oral/craniofacial health through the Biometry Core serving the NIDCR-funded Regional Clinical Dental Research Center and the Comprehensive Center for Oral Health Research.

Fellowships pay a stipend which is dependent on the amount of postdoctoral experience, and partial tuition costs, if appropriate. Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens and permanent residents, and a payback agreement may require subsequent work in research. Minority and women applicants are particularly of interest.
