The Comprehensive Center for Oral Health Research was established in 1999 with a Center of Discovery grant from NIDCR. This Center has as its focus the origins of oral health and disease susceptibility in children as the key to lifelong oral health. The Summer Institute is supported as an activity of the Outreach Core of the Center.
