The Developmental Pathways Project (DPP) is a research study that is designed to help us understand why some adolescents have good emotional health, while others develop depression and disruptive behavior problems during their middle school and high school years. The goal of the study is to find ways to support adolescents so that they can be healthy and successful.

521 adolescents and their families who have attended Seattle Public Middle Schools have participated in this study.

We are now conducting our 7th interviews with participants when they are 17 and 18 years old!
