Module 4

Windows Movie Maker Tutorial

  1. Export your GIF animation from Photoshop/Imageready as before BUT this time, you can export images only (not images and HTML like in previous tutorials.)

  2. you MUST name it your UWnetid_Final. For example, if Zack is turning in his final and his UWnetid is zbent the his final animation will be called zbent_final.

  3. On your windows desktop in any computer IN ODEGAARD, Navigate to: Start --> All programs --> multimedia -->Windows Movie Maker. click

  4. choose file --> Import into collections. click.

  5. Navigate to the directory where you saved your animation, select your GIF file(s) and click import

  6. Drag your file(s) into the timeline window at the bottom of the page. You should be able to view a preview of your animation with the playback window to the right of the screen.

  7. When you are satisfied with the playback, choose: File --> Save movie file. click

  8. Click next

  9. The prompt will ask you to name your file and decide where to save it to. specify that then click next. refer to step 2 for naming.

  10. the settings window comes next, again, you can just click next

  11. Finally, select finish
