Assignment 1

Assignment 2

Final project

My animation is an attempt to illustrate a change of heart. It was made using Adobe Photoshop digital editing software.

I divided the animation into several scenes: the worker entering the meat packing plant, putting on the meat packing uniform, the appearance of the ghost, the ghost’s chase scene, and the final change of heart and exit of the factory. All but the final scene take place in a bleak environment. The factory is dilapidated and colorless. It is an unhappy place to live and work. Once the worker abandons his post at the factory and the idea that he has to work there, the entire environment changes. His surroundings become less ominous and he becomes happy.

The animation’s momentum changes significantly when the ghost appears. The ghost represents the misery of the factory environment. It is not intended to represent murdered animals. I didn’t want this animation to send an anti-meat-eating message. I tried to show the effect a change of mindset has on a person’s surroundings.
