Assignment 2
Final project
For my final animation I used photoshop for the entirety of the project. I used my own photographs of Oregon and Rio De Janeiro as well drawing in photoshop. The basic concept of the project is lines forming out of lines in a square fashion and then coming together to form a train. The frames at the beginning represent time as space or frames just like animation is, a concept that we learned at the beginning of the class. The train is then propelled by a single set of wheels, and is supposed to represent singular line of time moving forward, and our own singular journey. The train takes off into the air as if propelled by ones imagination. I chose pictures of the ocean because it represents the unknown and the things that we have yet to discover, but also the ocean is such a powerful force and the beach is an intersecting line with two elements. With relating to the concept of looking at life as potentials, our lives are surrounded with them and the floating train represents that. I chose to leave the sides and bottom of the train open as to represent an open mindedness and also some confusion that occurs when we deal with many of the concepts in the class. I like the train concept because it represents our own individual journeys in life and there are many directions we can take.
