University of Washington's Earth Initiative (UWEI) builds upon the full suite of existing disciplinary and interdisciplinary environmental programs within the University. It helps identify and promote unique opportunities that are well–matched to UW's existing strengths, and identifies and helps fill gaps where the University has underutilized potential.
