Tropical Biology: An Ecological Approach (8 wks, Winter & Summer)
Tropical Biology Fieldcamps (Feb-Aug) Combine natural history with a deductive approach to ecology in this intense introduction to hands-on science in the tropics. Gain experience in formulating scientific questions and in designing field studies to answer those questions. Researchers working at the stations assist groups and individuals with field projects. A truly unique experience that broadens horizons, establishes connections and creates new friendships. For more information about OTS, see the website, http://www.ots.duke.edu/. (Students of charter member institutions have registration priority and reduced tuition. At the University of Washington, contact Josh Tewksbury or Richard Olmstead for more info.)
