Jessica Maura, PhD
Jessica Maura, PhD is a Senior Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami and completed an APA accredited internship from the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan. Her research has focused primarily on the impact that culture and other psychosocial factors have on the diagnosis and treatment of Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders, as well as examining the efficacy of culturally adapted interventions for Schizophrenia. Her interests include the dissemination of evidence-based interventions for severe mental illness (SMI), as well as the impact that family dynamics, trauma, and cultural factors can have on symptom expression and treatment efficacy in SMI populations.
