Affliating and Registering your organization with the Ethnic Cultural Center
- UW student organizations may register with the ECC between September 1st and May 31st
In order to register and become affiliated with the ECC, student organizations must already be registered through the Student Activities office (SAO) and provide the ECC with a SAO Student Organization Registration Certificate.
ECC Registration Process:
- Fill out and submit the appropriate registration form on-line at the ECC website.
- Submit the following paperwork to the ECC:
- SAO registration certificate
- RSO by-laws or constitution
- Attend mandatory orientation session
- Orientation sessions will be held in the ECC Black Room from 3:00pm-5:00pm on the following dates: Tuesday (10/20), Wednesday (10/21), Wednesday (10/28), and Thursday (10/29).
- Once all above steps have been completed, the organization will be sent an email notifying them of their affiliated status.
Resources reserved for ECC-Affiliated RSOs:
- Leadership development and training programs to enhance your officer’s and member’s skills
- Advising from the ECC Staff on program and event planning, facilitation, budgeting, and risk management
- Priority use of ECC facility for meeting and programming space including access to kitchens backyard, and BBQ pit area
- Opportunity to request office space in ECC facility
- Up to 100 free Xerox copies per day (50 double sided)
- Up to 25 free color copies per day
- Free limited printing for organizational purposes only
- Free unlimited faxing for organizational purposes only (No transcripts, scholarship applications, medical insurance, etc.
- Free unlimited long distance phone calls for organizational purposes only (No transcripts, scholarship applications, medical insurance, etc.)
- Free advertisement/exposure through ECC/T website and email listserv
- Ability to request funding for cultural or educational programs and events that enrich the experience of students on campus
